F.A.Q.'s
UPDATE: New questions added on Friday at 7:45pm (EST) refer to bottom of post!
We've been getting lots of questions, so we thought we'd answer them here on the blog just in case anyone else had the same questions.
Question #1:
My question is - what if I am not available to get that phone call - will i get bounced from the top 40?
I am heading to Lake Anna Virginia to do a family session and staying the night. I have been told there is no cell signal or internet access.
Answer #1:
In this case, we can get your payment info today. You can call Kelly today with that info 318.513.9881. This DOES NOT mean you are registered. In order to claim your spot in the workshop, you must still be one of the first 40 ladies to register in the morning via our website.
Question #2:
Millie, I love the Love Affair website, it is gorgeous! My friend and I are hoping to register tomorrow, but I would like to know what about your cancellation policy. We have no intentions of doing so, but you know, it is just good to know.
Answer #2:
The money paid is non-refundable. In the case that you cancel, you must find someone to fill your slot in order to recieve your money back.
Question #3:
I can't see where we register. Is registration open yet? If not, when?
Thanks
Answer #3:
We have actually explained all this on the website. You can find it under "details.....how to"
Question #4:
What is your preffered method of payment?
Answer #4:
Credit Card or Check
Question #5:
I am seriously considering signing up for this workshop. I think its a terrific opportunity. My problem is... i am just starting out with photography and dont knowif your workshop will be too advanced for me. any thoughts?
Answer #5:
At any workshop you attend, it is normal to have photographers at all levels of learning.I wish I would have had opportunities like this when I first began shooting! That being said, this is really something you'll have to decide for youself. We are planning on having a beginnners crash course as a late night option at least one night if we have enough to attend. If you are brand new, there will obviously be things that we discuss that might not apply to
you yet, or that you might not understand. As long as you have a good attitude, and don't get discouraged, I think it would be a great opportunity to emerse yourself in world ofphotography lingo!
Question #6:
Will you fabulous women be having another workshop ever? I will not be able to come. To this one and it would totally break my heart if this is my only chance to learn from ya'll!
Answer #6:
Well of course ;)
Question #7:
How will we get from the airport to the ferry? Should we go ahead and book this? What do I need to do?
Answer #7:
We are actually still working on the details of this. We have several options but we are looking for the most cost effective way since this will be an added expense for you. Stay tuned to the blog because we will be announcing transportation and giving more details on this soon.
Question #8:
So I registered and I am in... yippeeee! what is the next step?
Answer #8:
If you have given us payment information via phone, then your registration is confirmed. Now all there is left to do is to follow the blog for updates, fill out any forms we send you and return them to the proper email.

I have to tell you guys that the first thing I went looking for when I opened the site was how much, how much? then I found it and thought oh no! i don't think I can do it, then I started going through the other pages and when i read this...
"Women love so many things and yet have such a hard time being true to them all. Family, children, husband, creativity, business, soccer games, laughing, life…
It’s time to figure out how to do it all…how to have a love affair with everything and most importantly with life."
After reading that I know I NEED to go! I will figure everything else out, but I truly think I need this. I have a one year old and have been struggling so much to find my balance. I think this might help me get re-motivated and fall back in love with photography. Now I just have to type really fast!!! Sorry for the book I'm leaving you here, but I just thought I would share how much the "theme" means to me!
All I can say is my heart is in my throat.... I want to go so bad. Your site made me cry. I have two boys (5 and 18 mo). I struggle everyday to keep the balance between my two passions, my photo business and my children. The thought of this workshop makes so excited I want to throw up! HA! You all have beautiful work with voice and vision. I look forward to learning from all of you as well as other women. I will be up early and typing as fast as my little fingers can in the morning! Thank you.
ohh... i have passion for my husband too.. oops!
Kim and Jamie, You both sound like wonderful women who are trying to juggle so much. Trying to balance a love for creativity and a love for family and life can be very difficult. It's difficult to figure out how to do both. Having a really wonderful creative life and family life...it is doable. I hope we get to meet you both! Jamie and Kim thank you so much for sharing your fears and being so open. Happiness, Davina
It's 9:03.... where's the registration???? Ahhhhhh!!!!
Just registered!!! I am on pins and needles....... :)
Wow, my hands were shaking and my stomach in a fit as I was typing...flashbacks to running track! :) I can relate to both Jamie and Kim as I have four boys (8,6,4 and 15 mo.) and am now trying to follow a dream. I'm from Washington State and will look forward to this wonderful workshop/vacation in February!! Much joy!
